Altum Law Corporation is a boutique Iaw firm that practices corporate law exclusively. We focus on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), regulatory compliance and governance matters, private equity and private clients. We were recently ranked in Legal500 for our capital markets practice, alongside other Big 4 firms. We are looking for:
Trainees/Legal Executives
1-3 PQE Legal Associates with some prior corporate law experience to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
For Trainees/Legal Executives, supporting and assisting our team of lawyers in drafting legal and corporate secretarial documents such as board/shareholders’ resolutions/minutes, circulars and announcements, wills and trusts etc.
For Legal Associates, supporting and assisting our Directors in transactional/advisory work ranging from initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, setting up of funds, private M&A such as share/business acquisitions/disposals etc.
Regulatory filings with government agencies such as the Singapore Exchange, Securities Industry Council, ACRA etc.
Opportunity to liaise and interact directly with clients and other professionals in legal, audit, accounting and tax.
Who are we looking for
For Trainees/Legal Executives, a diploma or degree in law (local or overseas) obtained from a reputable educational institution
For Legal Associates, some basic prior corporate law experience such as drafting of board/shareholders’ resolutions/minutes, sale and purchase/shareholders agreements, good knowledge and understanding of Companies Act strongly preferred
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products, especially MS Word
Keen interest in business, accounting and tax issues which are closely interrelated with our legal practice
Strong work ethics
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team
