Eco Couture Ltd is looking for Trainee Officer – Environment, Health & Safety
Key Points
Assist in implementing EHS procedures in the garment factory. Support safety inspections, HIRA/JSA, training, audits, and compliance with labor law and buyer requirements under the supervision of the senior EHS team.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Assist the EHS team in implementing workplace safety and environmental compliance activities in the garment factory.
- Support in conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) under supervision.
- Assist in safety inspections, floor monitoring, and identifying unsafe acts and unsafe conditions in production and support areas.
- Help in conducting emergency evacuation drills and awareness programs.
- Support EHS induction training for new employees, workers, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist in maintaining Permit to Work (PTW) systems such as hot work, electrical work, and maintenance activities.
- Support investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses and assist in root cause analysis.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety awareness sessions with workers.
- Support environmental monitoring activities including waste management and housekeeping compliance.
- Assist in preparing monthly EHS reports and data collection for KPIs and safety performance tracking.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
- Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Science
- [University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh University of Professionals, North South University ]students will get preference
- Skills Required: Compliance, Health Safety and Environment (HSE), Fire Safety, Environmental Management System, Environmental Compliance, Teamwork, Chemical Management, Environmental Engineering
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Garments,Textile,Group of Companies
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements
- Basic understanding of Bangladesh Labour Law 2006 and Labour Rules 2015.
- Knowledge of fire safety, emergency response, and occupational safety principles.
- Willingness to learn EHS systems, factory compliance, and safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Have knowledge of 14001-2015
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
