Trademark Paralegal
Saunders and Silverstein LLP, a leading U.S. trademark and copyright boutique law firm, is seeking a paralegal to join our dynamic team. In this full-time, fully remote role, you will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and firm administrators to manage active global portfolios across trademark prosecution, policing, and enforcement matters. Job Duties/Responsibilities
● Prepare and file documents required for the prosecution and maintenance of U.S. trademarks via USPTO electronic filing systems, including applications, responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, and post-registration filings
● Prepare, file, and track Madrid Protocol filings and international registrations via WIPO e-filing systems
● Liaise and coordinate with foreign associates on international prosecution, portfolio management, and routine enforcement matters
● Correspond directly with clients regarding filing requirements and upcoming deadlines, and gather/review evidence of use
● Manage, track, and prioritize trademark dockets to ensure statutory deadlines are met
● Report filings and prosecution updates to clients in a timely, polished manner
● Provide support for trademark clearance, enforcement matters, TTAB proceedings (oppositions and cancellations), and federal court litigation
● Manage the seamless intake, audit, and transfer of client files
● Take initiative on special projects, process improvements, and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
● 3+ years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal at a U.S. law firm
● Bachelor’s degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate
● Mastery of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) rules, filing procedures and requirements, and prosecution cycles from clearance to post-registration
● Practical working knowledge of international trademark laws, WIPO/Madrid Protocol procedures, and foreign associate management
● Familiarity with TTAB proceedings
● Mastery of standard office productivity tools: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Gemini), and Adobe Acrobat
● Experience using legal practice management, timekeeping, and docketing platforms (experience with Clio and WebTMS is a strong plus)
● Tech-savvy with a fast learning curve for new filing platforms and procedures
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
● Uncompromising attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline management
● Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks from multiple attorneys
● A self-directed, proactive mindset with an enthusiasm for trademark and copyright law, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of teamwork (and a sense of humor!)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
