Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 2nd to 3rd year Trademark Associate to join its New York, NY office.
This is a strong opportunity for an associate who enjoys hands on trademark prosecution and portfolio support, with room to broaden into related advisory and disputes work over time. The team is busy and expects a steady in office presence within a fast paced intellectual property practice.

The Opportunity
The role focuses on trademark prosecution and portfolio management, including clearance and counseling, enforcement support, and day to day management of filings and office action responses. The associate will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to trademark and copyright disputes work, including proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, depending on experience and team needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2nd to 3rd year Trademark Associate with:
- 2 to 3 years of trademark prosecution experience, including filing strategy and office action responses
- Admission to practice law in New York required
- JD required
- Strong academic record
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with careful attention to detail in client communications and filings
- Experience supporting clearance, enforcement, counseling, or portfolio management matters, with TTAB exposure viewed favorably

Compensation
