Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intake Specialist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the initial stages of client intake, ensuring that all necessary information is collected efficiently and accurately. The Intake Specialist will work closely with attorneys and clients, providing essential support in various legal areas, including patent law, workers’ compensation law, and environmental law.
Duties
Conduct initial client interviews to gather pertinent information and assess their legal needs.
Utilize Lexis-Nexis for legal research and information verification.
Maintain organized files and documentation for each case, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence as required.
Collaborate with attorneys to streamline the intake process and improve client experience.
Provide administrative support by managing schedules, appointments, and follow-ups with clients.
Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate information to clients.
Experience
Previous experience in a legal administrative role is preferred.
Familiarity with patent law, workers’ compensation law, or environmental law is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software, particularly Lexis-Nexis.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
