Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has strong written and verbal communication skills. You must have good analytical and problem-solving skills, and you should have the ability to anticipate problems before they arise, to have comprehend and write instructions, and correspondence with proper punctuation, spelling, grammar and the drive to deliver superior customer service. Must have ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental procedures. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
· Effectively search title chains, general index, and property taxes
· Have a working knowledge and understanding of documents associated with residential and commercial property
· Have the ability to create preliminary reports and commitments
· Have experience with complicated legal descriptions and ability to plot sectional and meets and bounds descriptions and easements
· Interface with customers: escrow, lenders, and attorneys via phone and email
· Communicate with vendors via phone, email and proprietary programs
· Monitor email and proprietary systems
· Abstract documents for recording
· Prepare invoices
· Prepare proforma policies
· Complete policies
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 6+ years of experience as a Title Officer
· Residential and Commercial Title experience
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· National experience helpful
Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
