Title Examiner/Abstractor Jobs in Remote at Direct Title Solutions
Wholesale Title Solutions is looking for an experienced Title Abstractor to join our growing team. This is a remote position focused on performing accurate and thorough residential and/or commercial title searches and preparing title search products for our clients.
Job Responsibilities
– Perform thorough title searches using online county and courthouse records.
– Examine deeds, mortgage, deeds of trust, judgments, liens, releases, easements, probate records, and other instruments affecting title.
– Identify the current vested owner and establish the chain of title.
– Identify outstanding liens, judgments, mortgages, taxes, easements, restrictions, and other potential title issues.
– Abstract, compile and examine documentation from public records in databases.
– Review documents and assemble them in a report writing order.
Requirements
– Must be familiar with Land Records.
– At least 2 to 5 years of experience as a Title Abstractor performing title searches.
– Strong understanding of real estate records and title documentation.
– Experience researching county land records and other public records.
– Ability to read and interpret deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, judgments, liens, releases, probate documents, and related instruments.
– Must understand title practices and procedures.
– Must have a computer and strong internet connection
Preferred Experience
Experience searching records in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Georgia, or Florida is a plus.

Compensation is commensurate with experience
