Salary Range
$48,000 – $95,000 – Depending on experience
Position Summary
The Claims Specialist – Case Work Up and Medical Management serves as a crucial member of GGRM Law Firm, focusing on comprehensive case development and medical evidence management.. Working closely with Personal Injury Attorneys, this position builds strong case foundations through meticulous medical record organization, treatment monitoring, and evidence development while embodying GGRM’s values.
Success in this specialized role requires attention to detail, an understanding of medical documentation, and a commitment to GGRM’s client-centered approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Medical Evidence Management
Request and analyze medical records and bills
Track client treatment progress and gaps
Identify red-flag medical issues
Coordinate with healthcare providers
Organize medical chronologies
Flag treatment issues for attorney review
Monitor and document treatment recommendations
Evaluate need for lifecare planning
Coordinate with medical experts
Case Development & Documentation
Handle assigned claims in accordance with firm policies
Clear FileVine feed and emails daily
Document all activities properly in FileVine
Complete tasks by established deadlines
Maintain organized case files
Gather evidence of damages
Document life effects and non-economic impacts
Set up medical payment claims
Establish and track medical liens
Coordinate with Investigation Specialists
Client Communication & Support
Complete monthly Meaningful Client Communication
Serve as main point of contact for medical questions
Guide clients through treatment process
Obtain life effects questionnaire information
Follow up on treatment compliance
Document client symptom reports
Assist with medical appointment coordination
Provide treatment recommendations as directed by attorneys
Support client medical authorization processes
Team Collaboration
Meet regularly with assigned attorneys
Coordinate with Claims Specialists – Negotiations & Disbursement
Support investigation needs
Communicate with medical providers
Prepare case summaries for attorney review
Attend case strategy meetings
Contribute to process improvements
Mentor Claims Assistants
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Six months plaintiff personal injury experience
Understanding of medical terminology
Knowledge of settlement procedures
Technical Skills
Proficiency in case management software
Medical record organization expertise
Documentation and timeline creation
Microsoft Office suite proficiency
Authorized Nevada Notary
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree or Certificate in Legal Studies
Medical background or training
Bilingual in English and Spanish
