20-attorney insurance defense litigation firm is looking for experienced TEXAS First Party Property Litigation_ Attorneys to join their KINGWOOD, TX team. (First Party Property DEFENSE or other TX Insurance Defense experience REQUIRED)_
This can be a HYBRID REMOTE position. We will consider 100% REMOTE if we feel you’re VERY qualified.
Should have substantial experience with TEXAS First Party Property cases or other translatable TX Insurance Defense experience. We handle the defense of homeowner’s claims for very reputable insurance carriers in TX, including hurricane, storm, wind, water, fire, roofing, pipes, and other severe damage to residential and commercial properties.
***IDEAL Candidates have 2+ years experience in TX First Party Property Insurance Defense OR OTHER Insurance Defense Litigation experience in TX***
DUTIES: reviewing and analyzing new files from assignment by the adjuster, preparing an initial status report summarizing liability / damages and exposure, drafting pleadings, motions, issuing written discovery, answering discovery, taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions, arguing motions, attending court hearings, mediations, trials, and regularly preparing comprehensive status reports to the clients. Should have experience with expert witness depositions and preparing for same.

QUARTERLY BONUSES / BILLING: We truly believe in work-life balance so that’s why our billable hour requirement at our firm is only 157 hours per month! We offer QUARTERLY BONUSES based on the following billable hour metric:
170 hours billed/month = $2,000 that quarter
180 hours billed/month = $3,000 that quarter
190 hours billed/month = $4,000 that quarter
200 hours billed/month = $5,000 that quarter
