Duties
:
Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions including:
Licensing agreements Service agreements Development agreements Distribution agreements Partnering agreements Work on IP aspects of mergers , acquisitions , public offerings , and financings Advise technology companies of all stages of growth on IP and commercial transactions Provide guidance to clients on
multidisciplinary
transactions Collaborate with a national team and train junior associates Help build and grow a
dynamic
national Technology Transactions practice group Requirements: 7+ years of experience in intellectual property and commercial transactions Demonstrated interest in technology companies and IP transactions Ability to train associates and work effectively as part of a national team Strong
communication
, negotiation , and interpersonal skills
Entrepreneurial
mindset with a focus on building and growing a national practice Technical or science background preferred but not required
Experience with
IP and commercial transactions is essential
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of employment
Skills:
Strong experience with intellectual property transactions, particularly in technology companies Excellent drafting , negotiation , and
communication skills
Ability to manage complex transactions and collaborate with a national team Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients and associates Interest in long-term
