We are seeking an experienced Technology Contracts Legal Counsel for a contract position supporting a leading global financial institution.
This role is expected to start at the earliest and is offered as an initial six-month contract, with a possibility of extension. The position is based in Singapore or Malaysia.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-impact regulatory project involving complex group-wide contracts and third-party risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the global contract remediation and re-papering project in response to updated regulatory frameworks.
- Tailor firm-wide “catch-all” templates to suit individual commercial, operational, and regulatory circumstances
- Provide legal support on technology and third-party agreements in a regulated financial services environment
- Advise on regulatory compliance and third-party risk management issues
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure documentation aligns with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards
Requirements
- 7+ PQE, common law qualified
- Established technology / commercial contracts lawyer
- Experience supporting financial institutions on third-party risk and regulatory compliance
- Prior involvement in regulatory repapering programmes (e.g. MAS, EBA, GDPR)
- Familiarity with DORA is advantageous, but not essential, for candidates with strong technology contracting experience
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume contract work effectively
