The Dallas office of Baker Hostetler is recruiting candidates to fill a Technical Advisor position on the IP Patent Prosecution Team in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. The qualifications for this role are as **
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Registration to practice before the USPTO is a plus, but not essential
Primary responsibilities include assisting patent attorneys **
Meeting with clients
Conducting patentability analyses
Drafting patent applications
Prosecuting patent applications
Performing diligence related to patents

Demonstrated willingness to be a collaborative and consultative team player who possesses an ability to work well both independently, and in a team environment
Substantive industry experience
Excellent drafting and research skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to convey complex legal principles clearly and concisely
Strong analytical skills
Mature judgment and experience handling confidential information with discretion
Ability to identify issues and provide suggestions for day-to-day problems
History of sharing information by using data and information to support an argument or point of view
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and effectively complete daily tasks
A strong academic record
