SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, US headquartered Insurance Group who are growing their transactional risk business in the US. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced Tax Insurance Underwriter or qualified M&A tax specialist from an advisory firm.

Handling the entire underwriting process (with specific focus on the US), starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
Issue of policy documents
Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships
Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions

Ideally, a degree in law / commercial law / business administration or in another relevant M&A environment, e.g. Corporate finance in the Big 4 or Banking
Several years experience underwriting Tax Liability Insurance or advising on private equity M&A and / or renewable energy tax credits from a consultancy environment.
Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience
You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues
