To qualify as a GS-12 Supervisory Paralegal Specialist, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service.

Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of duties: planning and coordinating work assignments, establishing goals, objectives, procedures and methods for accomplishing work;
reviewing and tracking work assignments to ensure work is adequate, accurate, complete and timely; preparing a variety of substantial legal documents for review and approval by the attorneys; providing
on-the-job training
; planning, managing, and evaluating administrative and employee resources and operations; developing and coordinating legal support operations and administrative support.
