Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Paralegal/Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a small office setting, handling a broad range of responsibilities, and managing sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file legal documents, motions, and correspondence
Assist with case preparation, including reviewing discovery and organizing exhibits
Maintain client files and case management systems
Conduct legal research and summarize findings
Coordinate with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals
Track deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
Prior experience in criminal law and family law strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software
