Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employment immigration law . This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys in their daily operations and ensure that all legal documentation is prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with legal research to gather relevant case law and statutes.
Draft, proofread, and file legal documents, and correspondence.
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email while demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
Schedule appointments, and meetings for attorneys.
Conduct client intake to gather necessary information for cases.
Support the preparation of cases as needed.
Provide administrative support including managing calendars, billing entries, and office supplies.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a law office or similar environment is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
