Job Description

Overview:

The mission of the Subrogation Paralegal is to get clients the maximum payout for their cases within practical time frames, while maintaining a reasonable allocation of time to meet case load demands, as well as providing excellent customer service that keeps our clients happy and satisfied.

Responsibilities:

Identify all subrogation parties.

Request final liens with reductions, if applicable.

Complete subrogation sweeps every 2 business days.

Contact adjuster and/or attorney for status of the checks.

Get release signed and notarized, if applicable, and return to counsel opposite.

Get Order of Dismissal signed and returned to opposing counsel.

Obtain and finalize minor settlement documents, and schedule minor settlement hearings.

Prioritize work based on a case list.

Respond to emails, calendar invites, etc.

Update Filevine case management software.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

3+ years of prelitigation / paralegal / legal or insurance case management.

Experience with the insurance claims process in general (claims adjuster / settlement analyst) is a strong preference.

Ability to focus in depth on each case, while handling multiple cases throughout the day.

Ability to organize and prioritize an extensive case load.

Excellent communication skills: verbal and written communication.

Attention to detail.

Self-direction, process oriented.

Experience in Documentation/Review/Analysis of electronic documents.

Comfortable with technology, especially around case, customer, and project management.
