Cozen O’Connor seeks an associate with at least three years of litigation experience to join our Toronto office’s Subrogation and Recovery Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling complex property damage claims for insurance or commercial clients. Responsibilities will include representing plaintiffs advancing claims, coordinating loss site investigations with forensic experts, extensive legal research and writing, preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery materials, conducting examinations for discovery, frequent client communications, and first chair responsibilities including trials.
Candidates must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team on complex matters, and should have superior organizational skills, together with strong writing and
analytical skills
. Ontario Bar membership is required and memberships in other Canadian jurisdictions an asset.
