Law Clerk/ Associate Attorney
Job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Associate Attorney/Law Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist senior attorneys with case management, legal research, document drafting, and court filings. This role offers hands-on experience in a variety of legal matters, making it a perfect fit for recent graduates, those completing law school, or junior attorneys looking to grow their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs
Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as contracts, discovery requests, and trial materials
Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, depositions, and client meetings under attorney supervision
Review and organize case files, court documents, and discovery materials
Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring high levels of service
Support attorneys in the development of case strategies
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling, and preparing correspondence
Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to firm’s practice areas
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or current law student in their final year
Active Bar membership (or pending admission) in [State]
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail and commitment to client service
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed
Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software is a plus
