Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a mid to senior level litigation associate to join our Del Mar office.
Sheppard Mullin is a global Am Law 50 full-service law firm with over 1,000 attorneys across 16 offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. With approximately 250 Business Trial attorneys firmwide, litigation has been at the core of Sheppard Mullin’s practice since 1927. Our litigators possess exceptional trial and appellate skills, in-depth knowledge of state and federal courts at all levels, and practical judgement. Our Litigation Practice involves all aspects of business and commercial litigation, including antitrust, creditors’ rights, banking and financial institutions, construction, communications, general business, insurance, intellectual property, products liability, professional liability defense, real estate, environmental, securities, white collar criminal defense, and trust and estate litigation.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the following areas:
5-7 years of commercial litigation experience (construction, energy and infrastructure experience preferred).
Experience with contractual and employment disputes, fraud and other business torts, trade secrets, and corporate governance disputes is a plus.
Trial/arbitration experience, depositions, and drafting and arguing litigation motions such as summary judgement motions, motions to dismiss, and complex discovery motions.
Taking ownership of cases and working effectively as a member of a team.
Excellent verbal communication, writing, research and analytical skills.
Candidates must be admitted to the California bar. Resume, law school transcript, and writing sample are required to apply.
The pay range for this position is $310,000 to 410,000.
