Inland Counties Legal Services is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our Housing Team. Inland Counties Legal Services, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing legal services to vulnerable populations in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Legal services are provided by attorneys, or paralegals under the direct supervision of an attorney. Levels of service include advice and counsel, limited action (including negotiations and preparation of legal documents), as well as direct representation before administrative law and civil courts.
ICLS provides legal assistance in eight practice groups:
Elder Law, Consumer, Housing, Family Law, Immigration, Systemic/Impact, Health Law, and Public Benefits. Visit our website andlegal.org for more information.
Staff attorneys are encouraged to conduct community legal education presentations and attend community resource events. Opportunities include collaborating with Pro Bono volunteers, participating in bar association events (costs reimbursed), and engaging with legal aid communities at various levels.

Specific Duties
and Responsibilities
Represent tenants in eviction lawsuits and administrative proceedings.
Participate in outreach, workshops, and clinics.
Provide legal advice and full representation in court.
Conduct intake interviews.
Respond to client emergencies and inquiries on a rotating basis.
Be flexible and responsive to urgent matters.
Have reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service area.
Participate in events outside of regular hours.
Qualifications
Admitted to the California State Bar in good standing.
Experience levels vary from 0-3 years (Attorney I) to 8+ years (Attorney IV), based on actual legal experience.
