Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to protecting the rights of the accused and providing a vigorous defense. You’ll manage a caseload, appear in court, conduct legal research, and work closely with clients through all stages of the criminal process. This position will primarily serve our Criminal Defense department however, there is a small amount personal injury case management.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal proceedings at the state and/or federal level
Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs
Negotiate plea deals and advise clients on legal options and outcomes
Conduct legal research and case strategy development
Investigate case facts and gather supporting evidence
Attend arraignments, hearings, pre-trials, and trials
Maintain client communication and manage expectations
Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff as needed
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Missouri
[2+] years of experience in criminal law preferred
Strong oral and written advocacy skills
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
Commitment to upholding the rights of clients and ethical legal practice
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
