Sr. Specialist International Contracts

About The Role

The Sr. Specialist International Contracts is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for international customer and supplier agreements, ensuring contractual, commercial, and technical terms align with business objectives while minimizing risk and maximizing value. The role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support contract negotiations, risk management, change management, and dispute resolution activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize international customer and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with RFP, RFI, and RFQ requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze contract scope, identify commercial and contractual risks, and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies to protect the company’s interests.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including NDAs, Exclusivity Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Supply Agreements, and Service Agreements.
  • Manage contractual and commercial correspondence related to scope, cost, schedule, variations, claims, and other contract matters in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and process contract amendments, variation orders, and change requests, assessing commercial, financial, and schedule impacts in collaboration with PMO, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Support pre-award and post-award contract management activities, ensuring risks are identified, monitored, and effectively managed throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Lead the resolution of contractual disputes, claims, and settlements while safeguarding the company’s commercial and legal interests.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in accordance with quality management and information security requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective contract execution.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing contract-related documentation and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Contract Management, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Contract Management or Commercial Management (e.g., CCM, CPCM, CIPS, or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in contract management, commercial management, procurement, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing and negotiating complex international customer and supplier contracts.
  • Experience within the defense, aerospace, manufacturing, technology, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of international contract law, commercial terms and conditions, and contract risk management.
  • Experience managing contract variations, claims, disputes, and settlements.
  • Familiarity with export control regulations, compliance requirements, and international trade practices.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, PMO, Procurement, and Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
