A highly respected and well established LA based plaintiff firm is presenting a unique opportunity to a dynamic, highly motivated, results oriented Litigation/Trial Attorney.
Position Overview:
The Senior Trial Attorney will be responsible for managing a full caseload from filing through jury trial and post-trial proceedings. The ideal candidate has extensive courtroom experience, a strong background in personal injury litigation, and the ability to lead litigation strategy while mentoring junior attorneys. A hybrid work schedule is available.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through trial
Serve as First or Second Chair in complex jury trials
Take and defend depositions of clients, experts, and opposing parties
Develop comprehensive trial strategies, including drafting of trial briefs, Motions in Limine, jury instructions, and verdict forms
Oversee and review work prepared by associates and legal staff
Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
Conduct legal research and draft compelling motions, oppositions, and legal memoranda
Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to ensure thorough case preparation and execution
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and litigation support staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar (Required)
Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, with significant focus on personal injury law
Proven track record of successful outcomes as First or Second Chair in jury trials
Deep understanding of California civil procedure, discovery rules, and trial practice
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Experience Requirements:
7+ years of litigation experience (Required)
Trial experience as First or Second Chair (Required)
Personal Injury Law: 5+ years
License/Certification:
Active California Bar License (Required)
