Qualifications

Experience handling complex multi-parcel real estate transactions or similar deals, with strong proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents.

Minimum of 5 years as a real estate paralegal, either in an in-house legal department or at a law firm.

Solid background in transactional work, with a thorough understanding of the closing process and related documentation.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong proofreading abilities.

Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, multiple departments, and external parties.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarize, and organize legal documents and contracts.

Collaborative, team-oriented, and able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive real estate, transactional, and administrative support to various cross-functional teams, including project finance and development, focusing on real estate closings and title curative tasks.

Order, review, and resolve issues with title commitments, exception documents, and surveys in close collaboration with title companies and surveyors to ensure accuracy and obtain revised title commitments, title insurance proformas, and final surveys.

Draft and facilitate the execution of key real estate agreements, including leases, easements, landowner estoppels, Subordination and Non-Disturbance Agreements, and other land and title-related documentation.

Prepare initial drafts of title and survey comment/revision correspondence for title companies and surveyors.

Administer and maintain contract deadlines, electronic calendars, and closing checklists to ensure timely execution.

Support all aspects of closings, including lease closings, by preparing closing documents, conveyance documents, closing statements, and other essential paperwork.

Oversee post-closing activities, including organizing closing binders, preparing closing indices, and tracking post-closing deliverables.
