Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. This position will involve both transactions and litigation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by reviewing contracts, examining title commitments, drafting deeds and other real estate closing documents, conducting research, managing case files, and preparing legal documents. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of various areas of real estate law. At least two years experience required.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Assist in the drafting and proofreading of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
Manage case files and maintaining organized records for easy access.
Review documents for relevance and accuracy, identifying key information pertinent to cases and transactions.
Communicate effectively with clients via phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Perform data entry tasks related to case management and documentation.
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
Skills
Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
Knowledge of real estate law is required.
Proficient in conducting legal research and analyzing complex information.
Excellent phone etiquette for effective client communication.
Experience with data entry and maintaining organized files.
Familiarity with document management systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
