Summary of Role

To assist Partners and other solicitors in providing litigation services and provide legal advice on personal injury cases. The role will involve acting for both defenders and pursuers, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work across both areas.

Key Tasks

  • Manage your workload competently, professionally, efficiently and cost effectively with minimum supervision to achieve client and firm objectives.
  • Advise clients on rights and remedies.
  • Draft pleadings efficiently and accurately.
  • Represent clients in court.
  • Instruct counsel speedily and accurately.
  • Be pro-active in the financial control of all your own matters, including accurate time recording and prompt feeing.
  • Contribute constructively to the work of other members of the Division.
  • Support the firm’s marketing initiatives and identify and maximise opportunities to sell the services of the firm.
  • Contribute to organising and delivering technical training within the division and team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NQ to 2 years PQE with personal injury experience

  • You are personable and good at building and developing client relationships.
  • You are confident and you have a strong belief in yourself and your own ability.
