What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Develop and implement Python code that interacts with advanced Large Language Models (LLMs)
Create, test, and refine prose prompts for LLMs utilizing legal domain knowledge
Collaborate with legal professionals to gather and understand project requirements
Integrate language models into multi-step systems and assess their performance
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
JD or equivalent legal domain expertise, such as experience in legal practice or as a paralegal
1-2 years of production-level experience in software engineering, preferably in a startup environment
Proficiency in Python programming language; strong experience in other programming languages may substitute
Familiarity with APIs and SQL databases
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with large language models through coding (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Llama, Mistral)
Strong creative and clear writing skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative setting
