Bankruptcy Paralegal – Hybrid
Demos Consultants is searching for a Bankruptcy Paralegal for a midsized law firm’s Manhattan office. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience and be adept at managing complex bankruptcy cases.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other related documents.
Conduct research on bankruptcy laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Assist attorneys in managing Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
Maintain and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Liaise with clients, creditors, court clerks, and trustees regarding case status and updates.
Monitor court dockets and deadlines, ensuring timely submissions.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal.
Proficiency in bankruptcy software and e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF).
Strong knowledge of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy processes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
