The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trusts Lawyer to join a highly regarded Private Client team handling complex trust and wealth planning matters.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key adviser to high-net-worth individuals, trustees and families, advising across a broad range of trust creation, administration and succession planning matters. The successful candidate will enjoy genuine autonomy whilst working alongside experienced Private Client specialists within a collaborative and supportive environment. Applications are welcomed from experienced Senior Associates, Legal Directors and ambitious Trusts practitioners seeking a genuine pathway towards Partnership.

The Role As a Senior Trusts Lawyer, you will:
Advise individuals, trustees and families on the creation, administration and restructuring of trusts. Provide strategic succession planning and wealth preservation advice. Advise on inheritance tax and capital gains tax implications affecting trusts and estates. Assist with complex estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. Advise trustees on their legal duties, powers and ongoing administration. Draft trust documentation and associated legal instruments.

Work closely with colleagues across the Private Client, Corporate and Property teams to deliver joined-up advice. Develop long-term relationships with clients and professional introducers. Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the continued development of the department. Support networking, business development and profile-raising initiatives. Significant experience advising on Trusts and complex Private Client matters. Strong technical knowledge of trust law, estate planning and wealth preservation. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, trustees and family businesses. Excellent drafting and analytical skills. Commercial awareness combined with exceptional client care. The ability to manage complex matters independently. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. An interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to departmental growth.
