CIRO is searching for a Senior Policy Counsel to join its Market Regulation Policy Team. This role requires developing, drafting, and implementing policies to ensure a transparent market structure. Ideal candidates will have comprehensive experience in securities regulations and a strong background in analytical writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and draft market integrity policies based on extensive research
• Liaise with Canadian Securities Administrators on regulatory initiatives
• Analyze domestic and international market structures for compliance
• Represent CIRO at advisory committee and stakeholder meetings
• Provide timely support across CIRO divisions when needed
Requirements:
• Law Degree and Bar membership in a Canadian jurisdiction
• 5-10 years’ experience in regulatory or securities law
• Proven experience with policy development and implementation
• Strong knowledge of Universal Market Integrity Rules
• Experience leading projects in a legal context
