Zzazz Inc. , a US-based tech firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patent Writer/Engineer to lead and manage our Intellectual Property at Bengaluru location on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force in preparing and filing cutting-edge patents, reflecting the groundbreaking inventions and technologies our company is creating.
As a Senior Patent Writer/Engineer, you will be working closely with our talented artificial intelligence, research & development teams. Your main responsibilities will include exhaustive research on existing and potential patents, meticulously drafting patent applications, preparing detailed drawings, and engaging in strategic communications with top management to ensure our innovations are protected through successful patent and other IP approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough prior art searches and analysis to ensure the novelty of our innovations.
Draft and manage filing of patent applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to USPTO and WIPO regulations.
Collaborate with AI, R&D, and engineering teams to distill complex technical concepts into clear and precise patent documents.
Maintain
up-to-date
knowledge of patent laws and regulations to guide the company in intellectual property matters.
Qualifications:
A solid academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in patent writing or prosecution, with a deep understanding of patent laws and regulations, including familiarity with procedures at the USPTO and WIPO.
Exceptional technical writing prowess, with a
proven track record
of distilling complex technical and scientific concepts into clear, comprehensible written documents.
A
collaborative
spirit, with the ability to seamlessly communicate and work with
cross-functional teams
, including but not limited to AI, engineering, R&D, and legal departments.
Well-honed research and
analytical skills
, with a history of conducting thorough prior art searches and a keen eye for analyzing existing patents to avoid any potential infringements.
Proficiency in a range of patent-related software applications.
While not mandatory, being a Registered Patent Agent or Attorney will be considered an asset.
