This full-time Senior Estate Planning Paralegal opportunity offers the chance to join a rapidly growing, mission-driven law firm that is expanding its estate planning practice across multiple states. Working alongside experienced Estate Planning Attorneys, you will independently draft sophisticated estate planning documents, coordinate high-volume workflows, mentor drafting contractors, and serve as the firm’s in-house WealthCounsel expert. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estate planning professional who enjoys autonomy and process improvement, and who delivers exceptional client service.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Full-time, Direct-Hire or Contract-to-Hire opportunity
  • Location: Primarily On-Site in Plymouth, MN
  • Hybrid flexibility available after onboarding (typically 1-2 remote days per week; Fridays are most flexible)
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility as needed
  • Compensation: $85,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, funding documents, and related estate planning materials using WealthCounsel
  • Review attorney notes and accurately prepare customized estate plans with minimal supervision
  • Serve as the firm’s primary WealthCounsel resource, providing troubleshooting, best practices, and drafting guidance
  • Create, update, and improve internal drafting templates and workflows
  • Coordinate drafting projects with contractor paralegals and review completed work for quality and accuracy
  • Mentor junior and contract paralegals on drafting standards and firm processes
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, answer questions, and provide case updates throughout the estate planning process
  • Conduct deed research, obtain land records, complete title searches as needed, and coordinate electronic and paper deed recordings
  • Partner closely with attorneys to manage a high-volume estate planning practice that is expected to exceed 400 estate plans annually
  • Help improve processes and support the continued growth of the firm’s expanding estate planning team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of estate planning paralegal experience
  • Hands-on WealthCounsel drafting experience is required (non-negotiable)
  • Extensive experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, and related estate planning documents
  • Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload with minimal attorney oversight
  • Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior or contract paralegals
  • Strong understanding of deed preparation, recording requirements, and real estate documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and legal experience
