Senior Paralegal (Attorney Required – Corporate & Premises Liability)
Job Overview
We are seeking a California-licensed attorney with strong litigation and corporate experience to manage legal matters across multiple locations.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of attorney and civil litigation experience. Law-firm litigation experience is required; large-firm experience is preferred.
This role requires someone highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple legal matters while providing practical guidance to management.
Compensation & Schedule
- $130,000 annual salary
- Approx. 50 hours/week or as business needs
- Full-time, in-house
Key Responsibilities
- Manage premises liability and related claims from intake through resolution
- Manage litigation deadlines, calendars, discovery, and document production
- Handle RFAs, RFPs, interrogatories, and other written discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses
- Perform direct and cross-examinations and assist with trial preparation
- Evaluate liability, exposure, and settlement strategy
- Draft and review contracts, leases, and vendor agreements
- Advise management on corporate, compliance, litigation, and risk matters
- Respond promptly to legal documents and internal requests
Qualifications
- Active California Bar
- 5+ years of attorney and civil litigation experience
- Strong discovery and deposition experience
- 2+ years of premises liability, general liability, or related insurance-defense litigation
- Corporate and contracts experience
- Strong law-firm litigation background
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple matters
Preferred Experience
- Large or established litigation-firm experience
- Trial and courtroom experience
- Commercial contracts, leases, and vendor agreements
