A well-established law firm is seeking a skilled Paralegal to support its public agency clients across various municipal and public law practice areas. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with at least six years of legal experience in a municipal or governmental role.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary liaison between legal teams and public agency clients, ensuring timely and high-quality responses.
Conduct legal and regulatory research related to municipal law, including the Brown Act, Public Records Act, Political Reform Act, CEQA, and zoning laws.
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and public agency materials.
Analyze and manage public records requests, ensuring compliance with disclosure laws and exemptions.
Assist attorneys in real property matters, including reviewing legal descriptions, title reports, leases, and contracts.
Track deadlines and maintain case files, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with legal requirements.
Support litigation and administrative hearings by collecting evidence, drafting filings, and coordinating documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of experience in a legal, municipal, or governmental role.
Strong knowledge of public agency law, including regulatory compliance and procedural requirements.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.
