We are seeking a highly experienced and client-focused professional to take on the role of Senior Manager, Family Office Advisory. This individual will be responsible for leading and coordinating the setup of Single-Family Offices (SFOs) for our high-net-worth clients under the Securities Commission Malaysia’s SFO scheme.
Acting as the central liaison between clients, our internal sales team, and a network of professional advisors including trust companies, legal and tax consultants, accountants, and real estate specialists—the successful candidate will ensure a seamless and trusted advisory experience. This is a senior position requiring deep expertise in wealth structuring, trust and legacy planning, and HNWI relationship management.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary relationship manager and strategic advisor for clients establishing a Single-Family Office (SFO).
Lead and coordinate the entire SFO setup process, aligning client objectives with suitable structures under the SC Malaysia framework.
Collaborate with external professionals (trustees, lawyers, tax advisors, accountants, real estate planners) to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
Act as the key contact point for internal sales teams and ensure they are supported on all SFO-related discussions and initiatives.
Guide and manage the preparation and submission of necessary documents, licenses, and regulatory filings.
Develop and maintain in-house best practices, knowledge resources, and training materials to support continuous learning and excellence in SFO advisory.
Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness in all client engagements.
Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Estate Planning, or related disciplines. A Master’s degree or professional certifications are highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth structuring, trust and fiduciary services, estate planning, private banking or HNWI client advisory.
Strong understanding of trust structures, succession and legacy planning, tax optimization, and legal frameworks relevant to family offices.
Familiarity with the Securities Commission Malaysia’s SFO guidelines and other regulatory/tax considerations in structuring a family office.
Proven track record of managing sophisticated HNWI relationships and working across multi-disciplinary advisory teams.
Excellent coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
High integrity and discretion, with a strong sense of ownership and client service mindset.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is an added advantage.
