MYFutureJobs Negeri Sembilan is assisting an established international education institution to source suitable local candidates for the position of Senior Manager, Estates & Campus Development.
This role is within the education and campus environment, with responsibility for the planning, delivery and management of estates operations, capital development projects, refurbishment works, infrastructure projects and campus facilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, Board-level stakeholders, consultants, contractors, statutory bodies and external partners to ensure all campus development and estates matters are delivered safely, effectively, within budget and in line with required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage campus development, construction, refurbishment, infrastructure and capital investment projects from planning to completion.
- Oversee feasibility studies, statutory approvals, contractor procurement, contract administration, construction monitoring and handover.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes, service contracts and contractor performance.
- Prepare project updates, budget reports, risk registers and progress reports for senior management and Board-level review.
- Manage project budgets, procurement, tendering, cost control and financial exposure.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, local authorities, statutory bodies, legal advisors and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, construction, planning and estates management requirements.
- Support estates and campus development matters across wider institutional or international networks where required.
Requirements
- Degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in property development, construction project management, estates management, campus development or related areas.
- Proven experience managing complex construction, refurbishment, infrastructure or capital development projects.
- Strong experience in contractor management, consultant coordination, budgeting, procurement, tendering and risk management.
- Able to prepare and present reports to senior stakeholders, management teams or Board-level representatives.
- Familiarity with Malaysian statutory, construction, planning and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in an international school, education campus, university, healthcare, hospitality, township, institutional or large campus environment will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to UK / Ireland estate management, planning frameworks, building regulations or independent school campus standards will be highly advantageous.
