Key Responsibilties:
- Draft, review, and evaluate a broad range of commercial contracts, including Master Service Agreements(MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs),Supply Agreements, vendor agreements, AdvertisingAgreements, Insertion orders etc
- Maintaining a comprehensive contract repository in CLM, detailed trackers for contract summaries and risk assessments, and tracking the progress of contract-related tasks.
- Developing and updating standard contract templates to align with business and legal requirements.
- Offering legal support for business operations and new initiatives, coordinating with subject matter experts and external counsel.
- Reviewing business practices to identify and mitigate potential risks to business continuity, financial exposure, and operational resilience.
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating platform terms of use, privacy policies, and other related policies.
- Ensuring compliance with advertising standards and guidelines, including those set by the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI).
- Advising on the legality of pricing, discounts, and promotional campaigns, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations like the Consumer Protection Act.
- Payment and Settlement Compliance: Providing legal advice on payment-related processes, including gift cards and vouchers, and ensuring compliance with regulations like the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Payment & Settlement Systems Act (PSSA).
- Ensures compliance with consumer protection laws (Consumer Protection Act, E-Commerce Rules), prevents unfair practices, mitigates dark patterns, manages grievances, and advises on legal risks.
- Ensures compliance with Indian cybersecurity and data protection laws (IT Act, DPDP Act), develops policies, manages incident responses, and provides employee training.
- Ensures compliance with competition laws, advises on antitrust issues, manages merger control, handles disputes, and provides employee training.
