Job Details:
The Attorney III position will develop tools and resources related to pathways to the CARE Act, referral sources, and overlap with other court processes and will include tools, resources, education, self-help materials, and as appropriate, resources for people who do not qualify for CARE Act. Examples of the materials may include one-pagers for judicial officers in other case types who may have eligible litigants before them, such as domestic violence, elder abuse, and immigration, bench cards for eligible judicial officers to use to determine if a referral is appropriate, and public education materials, such as op-eds, on the referral process and diversion from more restrictive court setting. Feedback from judicial officers and court staff will be collected and incorporated into the final tools and resource
Education
Admission to the State Bar of California and 6+ years relevant post-bar experience in a legal setting, such as a private law practice, corporation, government agency, law school, court or legal publishing company
Experience in
Experience in analysis and drafting of legal and policy memoranda.
Experience and involvement in legal publishing, legislation or contracts.
Experience developing legal or judicial educational materials.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 – $120.00 per hour
