About the Role:
We are seeking a Litigation Associate who is self-driven, fiercely strategic, and obsessed with winning. You’ll have the opportunity to work across plaintiff and defense sides, handle a variety of cases from motion practice through trial, and advocate for both individuals seeking justice and corporate clients protecting their interests.

What You’ll Do:
Handle commercial litigation matters and a variety of employment litigation and even some civil litigation.
Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and participate in trials.
Conduct deep legal research to develop nuanced, winning strategies.
Collaborate with a dynamic team of litigators who challenge and support each other.
Leverage AI tools for research, document drafting, and case analysis.
Work directly with clients—corporate and individual—at all stages of litigation (plaintiff and defense).
Who You Are:
Licensed Attorney in New York (and/or Connecticut/New Jersey a plus).
3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
Experience in civil or commercial litigation.
A relentless researcher who sees technicalities and legal nuance as opportunities.

Represent clients in diverse practice areas, including:
Civil Rights/Discrimination: Advocating for victims of unlawful discrimination.
Employment Litigation: Handling matters involving wrongful termination, wage disputes, and whistleblower claims.
Real Estate Litigation: Representing clients in disputes over contracts, property ownership, brokerage issues, and more.
Commercial Litigation: Resolving business disputes such as breaches of contract, fiduciary duties, and unfair competition.
Qualifications
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Bar Admission: Licensed and admitted to practice in New York State.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of complex litigation experience at a private law firm
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently while delivering high-quality work product
Experience with motion practice, depositions, oral arguments, and discovery
A creative thinker who knows how to apply statutes, regulations, and case law to develop effective arguments
Someone who thrives on solving challenging fact patterns and turning them into persuasive arguments
A team player who is committed to consistent effort and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and research skills (experience with Westlaw preferred).
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
A proactive approach to handling complex cases and client relationships.
