Intervention Center for Autism Needs is a dynamic and growing staffing firm seeking a highly motivated and experienced In-House Counsel to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to play a critical role in shaping our legal strategy and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws.

Position Summary:

The In-House Counsel will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of employment law matters. This role will involve proactive counsel, risk mitigation, and the management of employment-related litigation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully advising employers on complex employment issues and managing litigation from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, and state wage and hour laws.
Draft, review, and update employment-related policies, procedures, handbooks, and agreements.
Advise HR and management on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
Manage and oversee all employment litigation matters, including responding to agency charges (e.g., EEOC, DFEH), managing outside counsel, and representing the company in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
Conduct internal investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace misconduct.
Develop and deliver training programs for employees and management on employment law compliance and best practices.
Monitor changes in employment law and recommend proactive adjustments to company policies and practices.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance across all business operations.
Manage and negotiate vendor agreements related to legal services as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing employment law, with a significant focus on advising employers.
Demonstrated experience with employment litigation, including managing cases from start to finish on the employer side.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working as in-house counsel for a staffing services company.
Familiarity with multi-state employment laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
