Note: Must have an active New York bar license, 8+ years of defense litigation experience, and at least 1 year of construction litigation or New York Labor Law exposure. Construction/Labor Law experience does not need to be extensive.

Job Description
- Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Develop and execute effective litigation strategies tailored to each client and case.
- Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in matters involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional malpractice, construction litigation, New York Labor Law, municipal law, and related defense matters.
- Analyze liability, damages, coverage, and litigation risks and provide practical recommendations to clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, reports, and other litigation documents.
- Communicate directly with clients, insurers, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and timely case reporting.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and legal professionals while exercising sound independent judgment.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of directly relevant defense litigation experience.
- Active New York bar admission in good standing.
- At least 1 year of construction litigation and/or New York Labor Law experience.
- Experience managing litigation matters independently from inception through resolution.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills.
- Experience handling depositions, discovery, motions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Excellent organization, judgment, attention to detail, and client-service skills.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
