Senior Legal Specialist Jobs in Dubai, UAE/Dubai at BYD UAE
We are looking for a pragmatic and detail-oriented Legal Specialist to support BYD’s growing operations in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with the regional legal team to manage distributor relations, ensure labor compliance, and navigate the local regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Distributor & Commercial Support:
Handle legal matters regarding Saudi distributors and review commercial agreements to protect company interests. - Corporate Operations:
Participate in the day-to-day legal activities and operational management of BYD’s Saudi subsidiaries. - Labor Relations & Compliance:
Manage employment contracts and ensure full compliance with KSA Labor Law through the Qiwa and Mudad platforms. - Compliance & Data Privacy:
Coordinate with external law firms on regulatory matters, specifically focusing on the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other compliance frameworks. - Regulatory Research:
Monitor local legislative updates and provide clear interpretations of new policies and their impact on the business.
Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a prestigious Saudi university.
- Experience:
2+ years of legal experience in a corporate in-house role or a law firm. Candidates with strong potential and a quick learning curve are encouraged to apply. Experience in the Automotive or High-Tech sectors is highly prefered.
- Languages:
Professional proficiency in English and Arabic (Must be able to draft/review documents and communicate with authorities in both languages).
- Technical
Skills:
Practical knowledge of Saudi government portals (Qiwa, Mudad, etc.) and basic KSA corporate/labor regulations.
- Mobility:
Saudi or willing to relocate to and be stationed in Saudi Arabia.

- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between regional legal requirements and local execution.
