A Legal Manager oversees an organization’s legal affairs, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. They manage legal risks, provide strategic advice, handle contracts, and collaborate with internal teams. The ultimate goal is to safeguard the company’s interests while promoting effective legal practices
Responsibilities :
Monitoring of external regulations and best practices on corporate governance.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various operational and commercial agreements e.g.. marketing, services, and supply agreements, also in the IT sector in English and French
Organizing and managing Board of Directors and Shareholders’ meetings;
Preparing the documentation related to the Board of Directors, and ensuring compliance with internal legal framework and corporate approvals policies.
Assisting in understanding gaming regulatory frameworks and the commercial impact of legislative changes
Advising on legal risks and proposing solutions to mitigate such risks
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
Minimum Education: Law degree ( Bachelor of Laws or above), and Moroccan or French BAR are required.
Minimum Experience: Equivalent to 7+ years of qualification experience from top international/Moroccan law firms and in-house companies, with recent experience in the public sector preferred.
Strong business acumen with the ability to assess legal risk and commercial/practical considerations.
Proactive, pragmatic, and efficient with a hands-on mentality. Excellent technical drafting skills and familiarity with the documents and types of work covered in the ‘Duties and responsibilities’ section of this job description.
French speaker, with excellent communication skills in English
