SUMMARY

The Senior Legal Manager will provide end-to-end legal support across Adalvo’s global operations. As part of a high-performing Legal team, this role plays a critical part in enabling the business, partnering closely with key functions. This role requires a commercially driven, hands-on legal generalist who can balance legal risk with business priorities, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

This is an in-house legal counsel role within the Legal Department, reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO).

RESPONSIBILITIES

On a daily basis, the Senior Legal Manager will:

  • Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to support commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements, including licensing, development, manufacturing & supply, and distribution agreements
  • Lead and support M&A activities from a legal perspective, including due diligence, structuring, and negotiation of transaction documentation
  • Support corporate legal matters, including governance, entity structuring, and internal corporate requirements
  • Identify and proactively mitigate legal risks, ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place
  • Deliver timely, solutions-oriented recommendations to manage legal exposure
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Act as a trusted business partner, collaborating cross-functionally on key projects
  • Maintain close alignment with the Chief Legal Officer, providing visibility on key risks and developments
  • Oversee and manage litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel, assessing litigation risk, and developing case strategy in alignment with the CLO’s priorities

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction
  • Minimum 8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a strong foundation in private practice (law firm) followed by in-house experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
  • Proven experience as a legal generalist, comfortable operating across a broad range of legal areas
  • Strong background in commercial contracts, including licensing, development, manufacturing & supply, and distribution agreements
  • Experience handling corporate legal matters, including governance and entity-related topics
  • Solid exposure to M&A transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation
  • Experience in litigation management, including coordination with external counsel, risk assessment, and case strategy
  • Highly commercially minded, able to align legal advice with business objectives
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills in English
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrates high integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Experience supporting international commercial operations or cross-border partnerships is an advantage
