Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Core Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
Provides legal advice and support to the business, aligning with FAB Group’s strategic and business objectives.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, providing guidance accordingly.
Collaborates to establish and implement legal policies.
Completes legal tasks and responds to queries promptly.
Supports subsidiaries and international branches with legal oversight.
Litigation
Manages litigation and disputes within the UAE and internationally.
Represents FAB and its subsidiaries in legal proceedings.
Reports litigation matters and provides updates to stakeholders.
Legal Documentation and Review
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts to maximize protections and minimize risks.
Updates standardized legal agreements in accordance with best practices.
Assists with legal and regulatory due diligence on new products.
Knowledge of External Environment
Stays informed of legal developments through continuous
education
and professional participation.
Provides updates on legislation and regulatory changes impacting FAB.
Knowledge Sharing
Builds positive relationships within the legal team and shares best practices.
Provides legal training and knowledge transfer.
Stakeholder Management
Liaises with external law firms and authorities to resolve legal matters effectively.
Learning and Development
Contributes to learning initiatives, including training content development.
Reporting
Prepares timely and accurate reports meeting organizational standards.
Manages team goals, KPIs, and talent development where applicable.
Specific Accountability
Manages litigation in accordance with legal policies.
Prepares litigation reports for
senior management
.
Enhances litigation processes and manages law firm relationships.
Provides employment and bankruptcy legal advice within the UAE.
Handles disputes related to trademarks and other legal matters.
Coordinates UAE court notifications and internal stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in law.
Excellent Arabic
communication
and drafting skills.
English proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory.
Minimum Experience
At least 7 years’ relevant experience, including 2 years in a similar role.
Familiarity with banking products/services and UAE laws.
