** Job
Purpose
**:
The Senior Legal Counsel is part of the Legal Division that provides back-end support to SIT by dealing with all legal and contractual matters with a view to minimizing SIT’s risk exposure. As a team, the Legal Division also provides advice on data protection/governance and manages the corporate secretarial work for SIT.
** Key Responsibilities**:
– Contract review (including research
collaboration
agreements, project agreements, non-disclosure agreements, software license agreements, procurement tenders, investment documents, grant terms and conditions)
– Drafting documents according to the needs of the various Divisions in SIT
– Perform legal research and provide legal advice to the various Divisions in SIT
– Propose risk mitigation measures to manage the risks arising out of agreements
– Any other duties as assigned from time to time
** Job Requirements**:
– Law degree from a local university (preferred) or an SILE-approved university, with a good command of English
– 4-6 years of working experience, preferably with some as in-house counsel experience
– Prior experience in research-related agreements or software/technology agreements is a plus
