Our client is a rapidly growing, publicly listed digital infrastructure business operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, renewable energy and large-scale data centre development.

The Opportunity

This is a senior growth role that will see you reporting into the General Counsel and partnering closely with executive stakeholders providing legal support across energy procurement, power strategy, infrastructure development and related commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead legal support on strategic energy procurement and power arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on:
  • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Grid connection and transmission arrangements.
  • EPC and D&C contracts.
  • Energy access and supply agreements.
  • Energy off-take and hedging structures.
  • Advise on the development and delivery of large-scale energy and digital infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with corporate transactions, project acquisitions and project financing arrangements connected to energy and infrastructure assets.
  • Partner closely with commercial, development, engineering and technical teams to structure scalable and bankable energy solutions.
  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory, commercial and project risks associated with large-scale energy procurement and infrastructure development.
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, including Australia, the United States and Europe.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of legal frameworks, contracting standards and governance processes to support continued growth.

Ideal Candidate

  • Have approximately 15+ years’ post-qualification experience advising on renewable energy, power markets and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Have substantial exposure to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), energy supply arrangements and complex commercial contracting.
  • Have substantial EPC and D&C contracts experience.
  • Ideally bring experience from a leading law firm, sophisticated in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
  • Be comfortable operating within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and high-growth environment.
  • Enjoy working closely with commercial stakeholders and senior executives on strategic business initiatives.
