My client is a technology and engineering company with a strong regional presence. The company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Legal team in Singapore and assist in delivering world-class business functions to their clients.
** Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for managing a team of legal counsels and handle commercial matters, including sales of goods and services contracts with local and international customers and suppliers, commercial agreements (e.g. teaming agreements, reseller agreements, service agreements etc.)
You will also have to manage senior stakeholders and provide strategic and practical legal advice and solutions aligned with business considerations and objectives. This is a rare opportunity for senior lawyers to get more experience managing a team with a strong MNC with great visibility to senior regional stakeholders.
** Qualifications*
* You should hold a Bachelor of Law and be qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction, with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience. Relevant experience in transport is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in M&A and IP is preferred.
You should be a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous individual with strong time management and
problem-solving skills
. You should have excellent
communication skills
to liaise effectively with regional stakeholders and merchants from various cultures.
