Construction Lawyer- Senior Legal Counsel
Our long-standing client is a Dubai based Investment firm whose portfolio covers a wide range of sectors including hospitality, leisure, retail and development. A need has now arisen for 7-8 pqe construction lawyer to join the real estate arm of the business. The firm advises on a broad range of high value residential and hospitality projects, with scope for the successful candidate to be involved in both non-contentious and contentious matters.
The role will involve the various matters:
Review and draft construction contracts on the Group’s template terms for projects across the portfolio
Provide support to the business on construction pre-dispute matters and construction disputes related to various issues such as defects and assist with preparation and conduct of arbitrations
Review procurement and construction contracts concerning a wide range of subject matters and works including agreements based on the Group’s templates as well as bespoke forms
Review and advise on Authority-related agreements concerning development matters
To be considered for this role, the individual must have 7-8 years years’ PQE Common Law qualified (UK, AUS, US equivalent) of relevant construction (FIDIC) experience either within a leading law firm or a corporate. Knowledge of the laws of Dubai is preferred however our client would look to relocate someone from outside the region.
